This beat sounds like some old J-Swift (Pharcyde) isht. For the album I was trying to encompass all the sounds I grew up playing in the boom box. Artists like the Beatnuts, ATCQ, Cypress Hill, Dilla, Pete Rock etc laid down the blue print for this project. I tried to drop a Psycho Les style verse, slow, blunted and illin. For the hook I just flipped a KRS vocal sample that I have use so many times. The hook refers to us dropping the microphone, performing a "mic drop" on these clown rappers.
